Appellate Defender Staff
David Rothstein started as a staff attorney with the NH Public Defender in 1989. He has tried more than 35 cases to juries, and has appeared before the New Hampshire Supreme Court over 50 times. He teaches Advanced Appellate Advocacy as an adjunct, in addition to being a member of the New Hampshire Public Defender Litigation Support Group.
Theodore Lothstein started as a staff attorney with the NH Public Defender in 1994, after a clerkship with a Justice of the Connecticut Supreme Court. Since 1998, as a member of the New Hampshire Public Defender Litigation Support Group, he has provided extensive training, resource materials, and direct assistance to other public defender attorneys in the defense of drunk driving cases. He has tried more than 25 cases to juries.
Stephanie Hausman and Paul Borchardt are the newest members of the Pierce Law's Appellate Defender's Office.
Melissa Dudley, the Office Administrator, has been with the Appellate Defender Program over 25 years, beginning work within a year of the program's inception.
Our Office Assistant, Maria Marshall–Ogni, joined our office in May of 2007 and we are very fortunate to have her valuable assistance.
