IDEA: The Intellectual Property Law Review  

has been published since 1957 four times a year originally by the students of Georgetown University and then by Franklin Pierce Law Center. The journal provides practical articles relating to patent, copyright, trademark, trade secret, unfair competition, general intellectual property and law and technology issues from around the world.

The journal's mission is to be recognized worldwide as the premier intellectual property publication providing practical articles which address new, controversial and potential developments in intellectual property and related fields. It has been cited by dozens of Federal court judges including justices of the U.S. Supreme Court.

The current volume is available on the Pierce Law site. Earlier volumes are available for free download via the IP Mall. Electronic copies of more recent past issues of IDEA are temporarily unavailable. We apologize for the inconvenience, but expect to have the entire run of the journal downloadable here in the Fall of 2009.

The Kenneth J. Germeshausen Center, created in 1985 through the generosity of Kenneth J. and Pauline Germeshausen, is the umbrella organization for Pierce Law's intellectual property specializations. Today the Germeshausen Center is a driving force in the study of international and national intellectual property law and the transfer of technology. It acts as a resource to business as well as scientific, legal, and governmental interests in patent, trademark, trade secret, licensing, copyright, computer law, and related fields.

For the last decade the Newsletter has expanded the scope of of its articles more in the nature of professional journal articles that have received favorable reviews from readers around the globe.

Pierce Law produces a wide range of IP content using a broad spectrum of mediums including dedicated IP websites, blogs, podcasts, wikis, RSS feeds, listservs and much more.
