Enhancing students' social and educational experiences

New Student Orientation Programs

The office of the Assistant Dean for Students
provides a variety of academic and social programs and services that enhance your social and educational experiences at Pierce Law. Our goal is to enrich all aspects of student life while you earn your degree at Pierce Law.

The Assistant Dean for Students is the primary ombudsman for all students. The Assistant Dean's office is the resource for students seeking information about student services, including access to programs; student organizations; disability accommodations; special academic programs; personal and/or academic problems; community concerns; or just have a question and don't know where to find the answer.

If you have a question or concern, or just need to discuss an ongoing challenge in your life, the Assistant Dean for Students is here to help you. Call the Assistant Dean's office with your concerns or stop by her office to talk. In addition to the areas already mentioned, the Assistant Dean can help you with:

  • Personal Counseling and Referrals
  • Family Emergencies
  • Exam rescheduling for medical or personal reasons
  • General Questions
  • Leaves of Absence
  • Personal Problems
  • Academic Challenges and Concerns
  • Disability Accommodations
  • Transfer credit and summer abroad program approvals

You have many opportunities to lead and serve at Pierce Law and we encourage you to become actively involved. Getting involved in one or more student organizations on campus gives you the opportunity to enrich your learning and form lasting relationships with fellow students and faculty. Student organizations are largely academic or social in nature. All organizations will recruit new members during the first two weeks of classes. This year the Student Services Office will host a Student Organization/Club Jamboree to which all students are invited and encouraged to attend.
